Lanes Memoir is basically a combination of my nickname plus the word “memoir” or journal. In short, this is a blog that aims to scribe everything that catches my interests like shopping (Girl’s favorite hobby!), gossips in Hollywood, chart-topping music, cartoons, anime, movie reviews, personal stuffs, health and wellness and absolutely anything under the sun. This might be based on my personal experiences or a narrative report about an event, happenings or any interesting topic I might want to share. Journalism is in my blood maybe that’s why I am here.
I aim to write the interests that might interest you as well; I hope to make Lanes Memoir, a blog site for everyone where they can get useful information, fun-facts, trivia and current happenings around the globe.

Realization
I woke up one morning with a realization of how boring my whole office routine have become. I am a programmer, a programmer who does 25% programming-related work and 75% doing operations support. I am one of the hundreds of fresh graduates in 2008 who had luckily been accepted in a well-known global IT company who have a habit of doing massive hiring of newbie. At first I felt like I had won $1 million dollars in a lottery, I felt like I am very lucky to have a job that is inline with my course, B.S in Information Technology plus in a well recognized company.
As they say, if you already have what you wanted, there would be a time that you would seek for something else. Change is inevitable, people change may it be physically or mentally. While surfing the net one day of April 14, 2010 (Personal Trivia: #14 happened to be an important number for me for some reason, I’ll write another topic for this), out of boredom, I opened by Google Chrome browser and type Google.com on the Address bar (Tips: Did you know that in Google Chrome, you can use its Address bar as a search bar. Google is really amazing) I tried searching “part time” work; it only takes 0.17 seconds as the results were displayed. I take a quick scan of the topics, I found Wikipedia ranking one on the search results, followed by the different Job search engines. While checking out on each links, I happened to stumble upon a really new word called “AdSense”.
AdSense and me
AdSense as described in Wikipedia, is an ad serving application run by Google. Owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. In short, AdSense is a way to earn money by allowing companies to put Ads in your site. You earn without doing anything, you get paid for every click made by your visitor. Now, who wouldn’t want to have some additional income especially if it’s that easy? Learning about AdSense made me excited, really really excited! I planned my day accordingly. First to be able to enjoy AdSense I must create a Blog site. Then a lot of other things followed, what will be the design of my site, what will be the contents, how can I attract visitors, whew! That’s a bountiful of things to do and think about. I am aiming to be approved of my AdSense application. In less than a week, I managed to complete all the to-dos on my checklist.
